Blythe-Sanderson through our strategic partner ORS is an OH&S expert in the areas of Ergonomics and Human Factors and has demonstrated its capacity to undertake work of this nature on both a small and large scale. ORS has assisted organisations such as BP, Alinta, GESB , Coventrys and many government departments in both their preparation (policies & procedures) and implementation of compliance in this area.
Occupational Health and Safety Department provides services to designers in order to meet their obligations under Section 28 of the OHS Act 2004. This section applies to designs commenced on or after July 2006 and has become fully enforceable as of July 2008.
Section 28 the OHS Act 2004 states that:
“A person who designs a building or structure or part of a building or structure who knows, or ought reasonably to know, that the building or structure or the part of the building or structure is to be used as a workplace must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that it is designed to be safe and without risks to the health of persons using it as a workplace for a purpose for which it was designed “.
