Activities of Daily Living Assessments and Solutions

  • Assessment and strategies for identifying and addressing problems caused by injury or illness affecting eating, dressing, bathing, mobility, leisure, managing a household and work.

Home Safety Assessments, Training & Modifications

  • Report outlining the provision of needs of the client and assessment of the home environment.
  • Recommendations in relation to the built environment based on the Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Advice on safety issues and prevention of falls in the home.
  • Information regarding the availability of community support, equipment needs and services.
  • Promotion of “ageing in place” through adaption/modification of home environments and the selection of suitable housing.

Work Place Assessments, Training & Modifications

  • Work environment assessments and recommendations outlining the needs of individuals to assist their facilitation.
  • Recommendations in relation to the built environment based on the Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Information regarding the availability of community support, equipment needs and services.

School Assessments

  • Provision of a report outlining the needs of students with disabilities and assessment of the school environment.
  • Recommendations in relation to the built environment based on the Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Information regarding the availability of community support, equipment needs and services.

Community Assessments

  • Specific advice or design of aged care facilities with regards to environmental access issues and safety, with specific interest in design of facilities for people with dementia and related disorders.
  • Aged care education and training in programme/therapy development.
  • Recommendations regarding design of sensory environments for people with dementia.

Physical Access Assessments

  • Ensuring suitability of residential property purchase for people with disabilities or assistance with design of new premises through purpose built housing.
